Brežice is a town with interesting old centre. We can see the Castle Brezice, where is the museum, Castle granary, Music school Brezice, old pharmacy, the house of family Del Cott, Town Hall – Rotovz, Parish Church of St. Laurence in Brezice, Aqueduct tower and many other. The museum is open for tourist visits. Permanent collections are the ethnological collection, an archaeological collection, a rebellious collection, art and history collection, a collection of recent history and a memorial exhibition of painter and graphic artist Franje Stiplovsek, founder of the Museum Brezice.
The Castle granary is one of the best preserved granaries in Slovenia. In the former castle stables is now the Music School Brezice. In the old pharmacy house is the well known restaurant Santa Lucija. The Church of St. Laurence was built in 1782. According to plans should extend to the edge of the road, but they ran out of money. Today is in the German house a courthouse. The Aqueduct tower is seen far away and is the most famous point of the city. It was built in 1914 and is 46 meters high. Today is in it a bar with three floors. We can see the original old instruments.
