Lake Ptuj - Lake navigation with boat

Lake Ptuj looks like the sea on the land. By Lake Ptuj is situated the Marina Ranca, which is the only and the first marine on the land in Slovenia. Marina offers 60 permanent moorings for sailing boats and other boats with the draft 1,3 metres and less. To visitors are available the panoramic sailings with the tourist boat Cigra, which accepst 25 passengers and sails after the fixed time-table. From the boat is a wonderful view to the old town centre of the city Ptuj and surroundings. We can see the Drava Tower, Small Castle, Ptuj Castle, Dominican Monastery and other. On Lake Ptuj are two islands and we can see birds nesting. The lake is home for rare and protected kind of birds as are cormorants, ordinary tern, river gull and other. During the circular navigation we go under the Puh's bridge, Ptuj bridge, Railway bridge and the newest bridge, which is reserved only for walkers and cyclists. The boat stops on several stopping places.
