Tunjice is a small village in the western side of Kamnik. It lies in the foothills of Kamnisko Savinjske Alps in the river basin of Tunjscica between Kamnik, Komenda and Cerklje na Gorenjskem. They are known by its natural healing grove and baroque Romance church of Saint Anna. The church was built between 1762 and 1766 by the priest Peter Pavel Glavar from Komenda. The place is also well known by fossils, clay marl and calcareous sandstone from the Miocene period, a few million years ago, when Kamnik was a narrow bay of sea, which was indenting in Kamnik Alps. The natural healing grove is located in the nearness of the church in the middle of the forest. Here are several types of energy springs. Areas of springs are marked with different large circles and ideograms. In the year 1998 was the unusual strength of the region discovered by the owner of the land, Drago Vrhovnik. Investigation of the field showed that in the growe comes out to the surface several energy springs which have special curative effect on one or more organ systems of the human body. Past experiences showed that energies of the grove effect favourable to the different pain conditions.
