Vogar - Kosijev dom na Vogarju Mountain Hut

Vogar is situated in the Bohinj Commune. Bohinj is one of the most beautiful Alpine resorts and it is an excellent point for short or long mountain hikes to the Triglav National Park. Vogar is 1054 metres high steep crest northern from Bohinj lake. It is very popular hike among people, because of the mountain hut and beautiful views to the lake and the southern Bohinj mountains. It is also popular between parachut jumpers. To Vogar leads steep mark path from parking place in the edge of the Stara Fuzina, but experts will use more pleasant path from the narrow unmark way over Planica. Close to the parking place is also a starting-point for a trip to the valley Voje with picturesque gorge, Mostnica Waterfall, water channel Mostnica and stony Hudic bridge in the beginning of the valley. The path to Vogar is very good marked. We can go to the trip every day in the year. In winter time the path can be covered with ice, so it is better that we use crampons and walking sticks. Walking takes about one hour and half, back one hour. Before the end of the road we go over wonderful Alpine meadow of Lower Vogar and then to Kosi hut, where expect us local tea and good food.
