Bled is one of the most beautiful tourist resorts in Slovenia. The biggest attractions are Lake Bled, Bled Island and Bled Castle. Bled is a place that offers numerous sports activities to local and foreign visitors during the summer and winter.
In winter, we can skate, ski or sled. In the summer we can swim, dive, play beach volleyball, go for summer sledding on Straza, play mini golf, go for a walk or jog around the lake, bike and much more. Lake Bled is also ideal for rowing as it has all the natural features. Bled developed into an important rowing center after the Second World War. A series of international and domestic regattas and three World Championships were organized. The first Olympic medals for independent Slovenia were won by the Bled rowers in 1992 - Barcelona. Each year, numerous regattas take place, such as the traditional May Day, the June International and the National Championships in September.
In Bled, it is also possible to rent wooden boats, canoes and kayaks in the Castle Boat Room or in Velika Zaka, where there is a campsite. You can take a romantic boat ride around the lake or to the island.
