Ceska koca na Spodnjih Ravneh Mountain Hut

Ceska koca mountain hut is located in Kamniške Savinjske Alps and it is point of departure for pretentious tour to Kočna, Grintovec, Skuta and Vrata. It stands on height 1543 metres above sea level. The most easily is accessible if we drive in Jezersko up to Planšar lake and from there forward to the end of macadam road in Ravenska Kočna valley, where are lower stations load cable railway to Češka koča mountain hut and Kranjska mountain hut in Ledine. Last part of road is rather bad, so it is maybe better if we leave off the car a bit lower near meadow.

To the mountain hut is about one hour and 15 minutes unpretentious walking, which is suitable also for children. Signposts lead us straight off to hill, then the path makes level and winds on rocky parts with atractive wooden stairs, passing small spring of water, which pleasantly refresh us in summer months. Češka koča mountain hut still has external look of Czech rustic house like in opening in the year 1900. It is open from mid June to the end of September, in May and October in Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
