Rakov Skocjan is an interesting landscape park, which attracts many visitors. The St. Kancijan Church was built in the 16th century. It was made by refugees before Turks from Rakek and Unec. They settled in this region permanently.The St. Kancijan was the patron of the people who were persecuted. The place on which are standing the ruins are the archaeological point. Rakov Skocjan is 6 kilometres long and it is the natural pearl of the Notranjska region. Through the valley goes marked circular naturalistic path, where can be seen all the most important natural and cultural remarkablenesses. The natural remarkablenesses are also Zelska cave, Little Natural Bridge, Big Natural Bridge, sinkhole Kotel, Tkalca Cave, old fir stand, the source of the Rak, old oak – dob and others.
