What to See in Slovenia in 1 Day?

It is quite hard to say what to see in Slovenia in just one day. Despite Slovenia is small there are many beautiful places worth to see. No matter of that I will try to give you some ideas what to see in Slovenia in one day. It will be busy day but don't worry, you will see a lot of interesting places.

You can start your day in Slovenia at Lake Bled. It's a fairytale place and for sure one of the most beautiful in Slovenia. You can walk a little along lake or climb to the Bled Castle. After Bled you can visit Lake Bohinj or Vintgar Gorge. Lake Bohinj is a lake on the border of Triglav National Park. Enjoy in beauty. If you decided to visit Vintgar Gorge you will enjoy in hiking along river Radovna in a beautiful gorge. After that you will be on the way to capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana.

In Ljubljana you will visit charming old town centre. Walk along river Ljubljanica around old buildings. Feel the spirit of the past. You can walk to Ljubljana Castle or use funicular to come there. From the castle you can enjoy in the wonderful view on Ljubljana with neighbourhood. After time spend in Ljubljana you will visit world famous Postojna Cave or Skocjan Caves. Both are very beautiful so no matter which one you will choose you will not regret.

In the evening I suggest you to visit old medditereanen town Piran. Walk by the old narrow streets to the Church of St George. Enjoy in the great view on the city and sun set. Then you should visit Tartini Square with a beautiful old buildings all around and Tartini Monument. Sit down there at some table of the bar especially if you are there in warm summer night.
