Soriska planina (1307 m) is a smaller wintersport centre, which extends on approximately 25 ha. It belongs to the municipality Zelezniki. The ski resort is suitable for less experienced and experienced skiers, school groups, families, for competitive and recreational skiing. It has a downhill track, slalom and giant slalom route. The ski resort has three ski lifts and a new chair lift Lajnar. If snow conditions are good, it is possible backcountry skiing from the top of Mozica and Slatnik. They have the route for FIS competitions and the system of snowing up.
Visitors have a varied gastronomic offer in the Litostrojska hut, restaurant Brunarica TC Soriska Planina with the possibility of accommodation, ski school, snowboard school, cross country skiing and sledding trails. It is also possible to rent ski, board and tennis equipment. Running track is divided into two rounds and is 2 km long. Soriska planina is an ideal starting point for longer and shorter trips. We can go to Lajnar, Dravh, Slatnik, Savnik and other peaks. In the nice weather are wonderful views to Karavanke and Triglav.
The nearby village Sorica in Selska Valley is famous by impressionist painter Ivan Grohar (1867-1911), where we can also see his birthplace.
