Maribor is the second largest city in Slovenia and the center of the north-east part of Slovenia. The city is lodged in the wine growing hills on the one side and the intact nature of Pohorje on the other, with the Drava river wending its way through it. The oldest part of the town is Lent with its Old Vine, the oldest wine in the world. In this part every year takes place the traditional Festival Lent.
