Maribor is a picturesque town, which is lodged into the wine growing hills on the one side and the amazing nature of Pohorje on the other, with the river Drava wending its slow way through it. Maribor is the second largest town in Slovenia and the capital of the Stajerska region. In the last decade Maribor got significant architectural structures, such as football stadium, business building Menerga in Tezno, cinema in Lent and many more.
We can have a trip on the river Drava with the Dravska vila boat, which is located in the famous Lent. Minimum number of passangers for the trip is ten. On the boat is a coffee bar that offers a wide range of desserts and various drinks. The boat goes on a short trip to the Studenci footbridge, which takes 45 minutes or to the long trip to the Maribor island, which takes about 90 minutes. Among driving we can enjoy in beautiful views to the banks of river Drava and the city of Maribor. The Dravska vila boat can be rented for parties, anniversaries, weddings and other. There is enough place for 80 people.
On the banks of the river Drava and on its surface are organized also other activities, such as summer entertainment on the island Mariborski otok, attractive water sports, traditional rafting and many other, which gives an additional throb to this city. Drava Regional Park extends over the old riverbed of the river Drava and the countryside along it between Maribor and Ptuj. The park represents one of the last parts of the natural riverbed with natural and ecological environmental biotopes of the highest value.
