Maribor Park is the popular walking point for local people and other visitors. Park includes Kalvarija, City Park, Pyramid hill and Three Ponds. Kalvarija is 375 high hill, from where is a wonderful view to the city. Kalvarija is the easiest accessible from Biotechnical School Maribor, where is at the end of the weekends lot of parking place. Maribor City Park is the oasis of peace and relaxation after the city hustle and bustle. It is situated north of the centre. The plan of the park has the medieval foundation. Pyramid hill is 386 metres high and it is raising up above the city of Maribor. The easiest is available from the City park, from where the marked path leads us passing the vine leaves. After about half an hour of unpretentious walking will expect you the wonderful view to the whole city and its surroundings. The Three ponds are situated north of Maribor near the City park. In the past the ponds were water reserves that supplied the town's defense moat. Today are the Three ponds artificially made lakes, which are filled up with water from the nearest brooks. It also exist the fourth pond from which flow two canals and fill up the first, second and third lake.
