Kranjska Gora 

Kranjska Gora is located in the northwestern Slovenia. It lies in the Upper Carniola Region, close to the Italian and Austrian borders.

Kranjska Gora is an important tourist and winter sports town. The popular attractions are the old town centre, ski slope, snow beach, bike park, summer toboggan slide, golf-driving range and other.

Old Town Centre is located around the Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary. In this part are the the most important the birthplace of Josip Vandot and Liznjek House. Around the old town centre are many restaurants, hotels and other tourist offer.

During the winter the most popular activities in Kranjska Gora are skiing, cross-country skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, ice skating and winter hiking. Ski lifts stretch over the slopes of Vitranc from Kranjska Gora to Planica.

During the summer the most popular activities in Kranjska Gora are hiking and cycling. Adrenaline enthusiasts can enjoy in the summer sledding, summer tubing or in the bike park.

Kranjska Gora is an ideal starting point for mountain hikes to nearby Vitranc and Ciprnik peaks. To the top of the Vitranc is possible to take a chairlift and from there the mountain path continues to the top of Ciprnik.

Near Kranjska Gora are located Lake Jasna, from where the road goes to the highest road pass in Slovenia - Vrsic Pass, cycle route: Kranjska Gora-Mojstrana, cycle route: Kranjska Gora-Ratece, Podkoren, Planica Valley, Tamar, Tromeja and Zelenci.

Lake Jasna consists of two interconnected artificial lakes at the confluence of the Mala Pisnica and Velika Pisnica streams. The area around the lake offers nice trails, viewing platform, Kneipp Path, Coffeehouse, Ibex Statue, Photo Point and beautiful views to the Julian Alps.

Zelenci is an emerald green lake surrounded by swamps. The area around the lake offers wooden footbridge, which is equipped with information boards. Near the lake is a watchtower that offers nice views of the surrounding area.
