The Titova Street is one of the main traffic streets, which goes through the city Maribor. In this part are the most important buildins the Franciscan church, shopping and commercial centre City, Court of law, Prisons, the Monument for the National Liberation War and victims of fascistic violence. The Franciscan church was built at the turn of the 19th and 20th century. The building has two towers and three naves. It was built by the plans of the architect Richard Jordan. The basilica is dedicated to St Mary Mother of Mercy. It was constructed on the spot of the former Church of the Mother of Mercy and the Capuchin monastery. The Church has rich interior. It was built in the style of an old Roman basilica. From the Tito bridge is the wonderful view to the Old bridge, Water Tower, market hall, building of Insurance company Merkur, Styria Chamber of Economy and many other. In the nearness of the Tito bridge is the Shopping centre Europark, which is the paradise for shopacholics, like me.
