The Boris Kidric Square is situated in the nearness of the main railway station in the centre of the Maribor. At the square is the most interesting the Memorial to Boris Kidric, which was made by Stojan Batic in the year 1963. Boris Kidric was the Slovenian communist, politician, partisan and national hero. In the nearness is standing the concrete columns plastic art (forma viva). The main Railway Station Maribor is the work of the architect Milan Cernigoj. You can see in front of the station the old locomotive. If you need place for the accommodation is in the nearness the new hotel Grand Hotel Ocean, which has a name by the first locomotive in the relation Dunaj – Trieste, which come in the 1846 to Maribor. In the hotel they have the marvellous Suite Ocean with the Jacuzzi. They also offer day rest for the four hours.
