Podolseva is one of the highest mountain villages in Slovenia. It stretches under the mountain Olseva, which is part of the Karavanke range and closes the Solcava area from the north side. Farmsteads lie at an altitude excessing about 1100 metres and the highest is the Bukovnik farm. The special characther gives the village the baroque church of the Holy Spirit with a gothic goblet, an interesting relief of the Holy Trinity from the year 1425 and a church bell. Podolseva is a starting point for a walk to the famous Potocka Zijalka Cave and to the top of the Olseva mountain. Potocka zijalka Cave is about 115 meters long and 20 to 40 meters wide karst cave, which was discovered by Srecko Brodar in 1928. The cave is known by many finds as are skeletons of cave bears, whistles, needles, tools and other. In the nearness is under the Golar pec the abyss Golar pekel. Podolseva is with the Logar Valley connected with the Panoramic Road which is so called because of the beautiful views to the Savinja Alps. The road leads also past the famous iron water spring, which was declared for a natural monument
