Korte is a smaller serried village, which belongs to the Izola Community. The village lies on the slope of the ridge and offers beautiful views to the nearest and distant surrounding. The southern slope is sowed with vineyards. It is the centre of the local community, countryside and at the same time the largest village in the hinterland. Korte is a village with the typical mediterranean appearance, which attracts many visitors, although it seems to be a little deserted. Korte includes Spodnja and Zgornja vas. We can see the Church of St. Anton the Hermit, the youth hostel Stara sola Korte, the house in Baroque style, which was built in the year 1738 and other. The Cultural Society Korte is active with the choral choir, dramatic group, folklore group, carnival group and other. There is a well known restaurant Korte, which is open already from the year 1964. They offer local wines, Istrian fish and meat dishes. Also is popular the restaurant Hisa Torkla, where are the specialists in the preparing of truffles. They have a terrace, wine shop and the apartment. The tourist can visit the rustic tourism.
