Bear's head and Skakalce are part of the wonderful Tolmin Gorge, although is there the region of the canyon Zadlascica. About the footpath is no essential difference, in which direction after the circular way in Tolmin Gorge you first go. You can maybe go first to the confluence of Zadlascica and Tolminka River and then to the Bear's Head. Bear's Head is the name for the natural bridge. It is a large rock, which had before the centuries wedged into the walls of the canyon Zadlascica. The vegetation in the gorge is rather lush all over the year, because of the warm mediterranean climate and vivid humidity. The overgrown head with the moss had long centuries excited the imagination with the look of the overgrown bear's head. Skakalce is called the part of the water channels, where the Zadlascica River is skipping from one pool to another pool and is in the picturesque cascades pouring over the gorge.
