Skocjan Education Trail begins at the Park's Information Centre. It is designed as a circular path and includes all the features of the Slovenian Karst. It is divided to cultural and to naturalistic themes, first are known in the villages, others in the natural surroundings. The path is about two kilometers long and takes 2 hours of easy walking. It is well marked and mostly easy, appropriate for individuals and larger groups. School groups can learn with the exercise books about cultural and natural wealth of this part of Slovenia. On Stefanja belvedere point is a nice view to Velika and Mala dolina and to Village Skocjan. Before the Village Betanja is another belvedere point, which was sometimes called Micin panoramic view point. Themes, which are present on the walk are Karst architecture, mills on Reka, the north wind and many other. At the exit from the Skocjan we can see the abyss Okroglice, village germ and collections in Jurij and J'kopin barn. In Jurij barn is in the first floor represented the history of the cave explorations. In the upper floor we can see the archaeological heritage of this wonderful area. In J'kopin barn is represented the procedure of the extraction of the cereals and its use in the time of arable agriculture. On the square in Matavun are represented different types of walls and coalmine. The visitor can go from here to the starting point and parking place.
