Lake Bled - Along city

Bled is a place, which is marvellous and unforgettable in every time of the year. It is visited by many tourists, because it belogons between the most beautiful tourist places in Slovenia. The city part of the Lake Bled is respun with many walking footpaths and parks. In the park they planted many diverse flowers. You can see the interesting sculptures and the model of the Lake Bled and the surroundings. There is also the memorial plate for the Sweden architect Carl Gustav Svensson that designed park near Lake Bled in the year 1890. From the city part of the lake is a beautiful view to the Bled Caste.

In Villa Ajda is the famous restaurant Ribic and they also have apartments. In Villa Preseren you can have refreshments and delicious food. The Mexican restaurant is situated near the Festival Hall Bled. In the Festival Hall Bled they organize a variety of events like concerts, congresses, theatre shows and exhibitions. The Festival Hall was built in 1961. It was designed by architect Ivo Špinčič from Ljubljana. In the Cafe Park they have famous cream cakes, which are the symbol of Bled. The best way to get to the Bled Island is by the traditional Bled special boat called »Pletna«.

The boatmen are stationed and waiting for you at the Health Park, under Hotel Park, at the Rowing Centre and in Mlino. Instead of walking around the Lake Bled you can take a ride with coachmen called »Fijaker«. Many trips to both near and far are possible. In the Spa Park they organize in August the Okarina Folk Festival Bled. There you can see performances of Slovene and foreign ethno musicians of world renown.
