Vrhnika is a smaller city near Ljubljana. The city is in every step marked with the well-known writer, dramatist and poet Ivan Cankar, which was born here. Hrib is the region of Vrhnika, where is situated the Church of Saint Paul and the Parish Office Vrhnika. In this part is also the graveyard, where is a tombstone of Cankar's parents – mother Neza, father Jozef and sister Francka. Beside the churchyard are the remains of the former Roman defence tower. You can refresh yourself and eat something good in the Inn called Pri Kranjcu. The church of the Saint Paul stands in the place of the former Roman camp.
It is already the fourth church in this place. The present one was built by the plans of Josef Schobel in the year 1851. Inside you can see the main altar and four laterals. It is divided into three the same large naves.
