The Church of St. Mary of the Rose in Portoroz was built by plans of architects I. Bergant, S. Kaiser, J. Marinko and M. Sornova. It was consecrated in the year 1984. Above the multiangual nave is instead of church tower like mast raising the concrete cross. The Church of St. Mary of the Rose serves also like the concert hall. In the church you can see the altarpiece made of baked clay by Tone Demsar, colourful stained glass by Mira Licen – Krmpotic and oil paintings of Stations of the Cross Marta Kunaver, which complete the sacral area. The holy masses are in summer time every day at eight o'clock in the evening, except of Monday and Thursday. In the summer time are at nine o'clock also in the Italian and German language and at ten o'clock in the morning is in the Slovenian language. In winter time are holy masses every day at six o'clock, at Sunday is the holy mass in Slovenian language at eleven o'clock.
