Castle Bathing Area is situated in the wonderful location just under the magnificent rock. Above the bathing area is rising the Bled Castle. Castle Bathing Area is the only public bathing place by Lake Bled. It is fenced in the land and also in the water. Grajsko kopališče has several years the Blue Flag, which means that fulfills the strict environment standards as the result of ecological activity of all the factors. The starts of the bathing area goes to the year 1930. Ivan Kenda built the first wooden cabin in more floors. They expanded the swimming areas, built ski jump and many other things. You can swimm in the Castle Bathing Area from 15th June till 15th September. The bathing area is open from 8.00 to 19.00 hour. They extended opening hours in July and August till 20.00 hour. Infront of the entrance, there is a boathouse where you can rent a rowing boat and row to the Bled island. The enclosed bathing site is 300 meters long. There are changing rooms, lockers, recently renovated toilets and showers and beach umbrella rental. You can also find pleasant shade under the dark green crowns of large chectnut trees. The bathing place provides ample opportunities for fun: two waterslides, a trampoline, a climbing wall, four outdoor swimming pools and a jump board. They also have Arnold Rikli's room, sandbox for children, table tennis and chess. In Rikli's room you can borrow books in Slovenian, English, German language and you can find out things about Arnold Rikli. Arnold Rikli (1823-1906) was a Swiss hydrograph who spent an important part of his life at Bled. He was one of the first to recognise the value of water, air and sunlight for human health and has earned world fame as the founder of health tourism at Bled. Several stands in the bathing area sell refreshing drinks and snacks. Food with simple dishes is available in the central part of the area. For invalid persons and older one is settled the access to the lake water. Children can play in the sandbox, playground or in the swing. In the future they would like to organize the bathing area as it was in the past, which is seen in the old postcards. Instead of the concrete they would line terrace with boards, cover the bathing area with roof and so enlarged the shade.

Bled is a place, which belongs to the most beautiful tourist places in Slovenia. The most beautiful parts of Bled are lake, castle on the rocky cliff and the island with the church. The southern part of the Lake Bled includes the footpath on the wooden galleries just above the lake. You will be passing Cafe Belvedere, Villa Bled, beach Mlino, private hotel Mlino and restaurant, private hotel Pletna, Villa Istra, Villa Beli dvor, Villa Lastovka and other interesting things. During walking you can enjoy in marvellous views to the lake, castle and island. In Café Belvedere is a coffeehouse and a sweetshop. They have delicious cakes and other sweets. In warmer time of the year is available the upper terrace and outer terrace. Villa Bled is surrounded with magnificent park. It is a former presidential residence. In Villa Bled is today a hotel and well known restaurant with mediterranean, Slovenian and French food. In the Beach Mlino is available grassy surface and just near the lake there are also some trees for the one who are avoiding the sun rays. The private hotel Mlino is famous by delicious food, where they prepare food by order, local food and house specialities and fishes. In front of the private hotel are the famous special boats called pletna, which will transport you to the island or you can also borrow the boat and row by yourself. Private hotel Pletna is one of the rare hotels, which is in family property. Unfortunately, here is not the peaceful location, because it is located near the regional road to Bohinj. The Mala Zaka is situated not far away from the centre of Bled. It is in the bay at the northern part of the Lake Bled. The Mala Zaka is a popular bathing place, which in the summer time attracts lots of local people and tourists. You can lie at the meadow or at the asphalt bank with the wooden piers in the close nearness. In the nearness is also the parking place. The Mala Zaka is the sporting and tourist complex in which are also included the Hotel Zaka and the Rowing Centre. In the Hotel Zaka they have apartments, restaurant, coffee bar and four sandy tennis playgrounds. In the coffee bar they have lots of delicious refreshments. In the restaurant with the terrace are known by good food and Slovenian wines. They organize everything for weddings and other social meetings and seminars. In the Rowing Centre is the boathouse with the rowing boats. On the grassy area is the statue of the boatman, which was made by the sculptor Boris Kalin. It is one of his most beautiful works from the time between the First and the Second World War. From the Mala Zaka is the promenade in the direction to the centre of the Bled, which goes on Veslaska promenada or you can go in the other direction to the Velika Zaka. At Veslaska promenada you can see the interesting villa and enjoy in the view to the Lake Bled on many benches, which are just near the lake.

Camp Bohinj is situated in Ukanc, just near the lake Bohinj. It is surrounded with beautiful views to Julian Alps. It is ideal for those who like the direct contact with nature. Camp Bohinj is separated on two parts, zone A, which is just at the lake and zone B. They have reception, restaurant, rent a bicycle, natural beach and boathouse with classical boats, canoes and kayaks. Beside that they have bathroom with showers, which have cold and warm water, electrical junction, place for washing the dishes, washing and drying machine. Camp Bohinj is situated near the cable-railway to ski slope Vogel, from where is the wonderful view to the lake Bohinj. Camp Bohinj is a starting point for mountaineering, walkings, mountain cycling, climbing, skydiving, fishing, sailing, canoeing and much more. We can also play tennis or table tennis. For childeren is available playground. In summer times the clear greenish water of the lake invites us to go in and refresh. For lovers of the adrenalin there is an adrenalin park, which is situated by Hostel under Vogel. We can go to waterfall Savica, see the water channel of Mostnica or go to the valley Voje. The attractive tourist boat drives in the relation from Ukanc to Ribcev laz and back.
